Q: What areas do you provide Photography Services to?
A: Farmington Hills, MI and all surrounding areas with Occasional travel to Toledo, Ohio area for sessions. (My dates for Toledo sessions are only certain days out of the month, outside these dates a travel fee will be incurred).
Q: What is your editing style and what is included with editing?
A: My editing style is clean and classic, true to life/vibrant. My goal in each and every session is to make you feel confident & comfortable. Basic editing is included in all my sessions which includes but is not limited to skin adjustments, some acne clean-up, blemishes on the skin removed or adjusted, etc.
To have more in-depth editing applied to your session you will need to let me know before the editing process has started. Please advise what exactly you want. Depending on what you want to be done you may or may not be charged an extra editing fee (Typically if I have to remove stretchmarks out of images in a session it takes longer to edit your session there for an extra fee is added to your total.) Sometimes people are self-conscious about their waistline or other parts of their bodies and I will go in and edit those things to of course flatter you in a natural way that is settled but noticeable to you only.
Q: Do you own a studio?
A: I do not currently own a studio. All sessions are done outdoors or on occasion at the client's home. Every now and then I will do sessions indoors at my home for babies/newborns. I do provide a lighting setup for these types of sessions. There is a setup and breakdown fee for these sessions.
Lifestyle sessions with no posing and a more natural feel are available as well.
Q: Do you charge a retainer fee?
A: Yes, I absolutely do charge a non-refundable non-transferable retainer fee. The retainer holds the specific date & time that you and I have agreed to. If you decide to cancel your session the non-refundable retainer fee is forfeited and to book a new date I will require a new retainer. The retainer is set in place to hold you and me accountable for the date and time selected for your session. I will NOT book sessions or events without a retainer fee paid. If you have not paid your retainer the date is still open for anyone to book so please never assume you are scheduled without paying your retainer fee. The retainer goes towards your final balance and the rest will be due the night before or the day of your session/event.
Q: What should I/my family wear to the session?
A: Keep it simple. Pastel or Earth tone colors for Summer, Browns & mustard colors for Fall, and my personal fave is black. It is timeless. I always tell my clients you do not want anything super busy or have regrets later, on about what you or your family wore. Solid colors are best. Nothing too bright or distracting to the eyes. No Neon colors as they may add unwanted glare/hue to the skin. No sunglasses (do not hide those pretty eyes) No baseball caps.
Q: May I have the RAW images?
A: No. I do not hand out or sell unedited raw images or in other words known as "unfinished work'. You hire me because you like my artistic vision and my editing style. Raw unedited files are not ever provided as they do not represent my completed work.
Q: May I edit my photos?
A: After you receive the images you are NOT to alter or edit my work in any way. Remember this is why you hire me... because you like my artistic style. It is a huge disrespect to any professional artist/photographer to edit their work. When you alter an image it becomes a misrepresentation of my work and my vision for your session.
Q: Under what circumstances may I have a reshoot session?
A: Under very minimal circumstances do I schedule a reshoot? If it rains on the day of your session while we are shooting and this ends up in us ending the session early then yes, we may absolutely reshoot your session at no cost to you. In situations where things are out of your and my control (typically weather-related) then yes I do not mind offering a reshoot. In situations where you the client are late to your session or your child is not cooperating I will not reshoot. Children are unpredictable and you as the parent need to know what makes them happy & should know proper nap times so they show up refreshed and ready for their session. I will do everything within my power to make your child smile and feel comfortable but if they do not this DOES NOT grant you a reshoot session. I am not responsible for uncooperative subjects. Tardiness is not a reason for a reshoot unless it's on my end of course. It is your responsibility to show up on time. Poor choice of wardrobe or make-up will also NOT grant you a reshoot.
Q: Where will my photos be shared/posted?
A: Just about everything I shoot I share online to some degree or sometimes I use it for advertising/promotions. It is my work so I like to share it. I will on occasion use your photos for promotions or ads. As your photographer & this being my work, it is my right, and clients that do not agree to these terms I do not take on as clients.
